![]() Much to my surprise and frustration, I couldn’t find ANYTHING to dig me out of this hole- at least right away. I spent two weeks digging through the internet, sifting through forums, and questioning more experienced RED Users. Except this time, the file was 78 gigs and wouldn’t play in any media player or even import into Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve. The other day, however, this finally happened when I was shooting with the Komodo, and it happened to be the most important story-carrying clip of the shoot. On those cameras, whenever I’ve lost the never-ending Battle Against the Battery, mid-shoot, my experience had been that the recording of whatever I was shooting was preserved. Although I’ve worked with countless file types and codecs in my more-than-15-years as an Editor, my shooting experience was primarily limited to Sony, Z-Cam, DJI Phantom drones, and other DSLR or prosumer grade cinema cameras. ![]() Recently, I entered the RED Digital Cinema workspace when I purchased a RED Komodo 6K back in July of 2020.
